Recipe: Vegan Special Artichoke & Spinach Pizza from our Kit

As you probably know, we’ve teamed up with Willicroft, Amsterdam based makers of plant-based dairy-free cheese alternatives, and the launch of a completely plant-based recipe and Pizza Kit that we created together. Here’s a recipe you can use with the kit.


This kit will arrive at your door with all the ingredients you need to make 2 to 4 pizzas (depending on chosen kit size):
–Fresh frozen pizza dough balls;
– Our house-made Artichoke & Spinach crema;
– Willicroft Italian Aged, a take on the classic Italian hard cheese;
– Willicroft Greek White, with texture and flavor that will irresistibly remind you of a Greek feta;
– Aromatic Italian oregano


Step 1 – Spread the dough

Start by dusting your work surface and hands generously with semolina flour (some will be provided in the kit). Place your dough ball on the surface and begin to press and flatten it gently from the center, leaving a slightly thicker rim for the crust. Use your fingertips and palms to stretch the dough further, rotating it as you go to maintain a circular shape, but don’t worry about being to precise.

If the dough resists, let it rest a moment before continuing. Be patient and gentle to avoid tearing the dough. The goal is a thin center and a thicker edge, ready to be topped.

Step 2 – Add the Artichoke & Spinach Crema

In the kit you will receive our homemade Artichoke & Spinach crema that will serve as the sauce for this pizza. Use about 80 grams of the crema per pizza. Spread the crema to cover your pizza base leaving some uncovered edges according to your own taste & style.

If you’re baking the pizza in a regular kitchen oven, this is when you want to partly bake it before adding the rest of the toppings – please check our instructions on how to bake pizza in a regular oven.

Step 3 – Add Toppings

In the kit you will receive Willicroft’s dairy-free cheese alternatives that you can use as toppings. Crumble pieces of the Greek White all over the pizza.

Follow with Aged Italian that will provide that savouriness and nutty sweetness found in aged cheeses.

At this point you can add more toppings of your choice. We opted for some fresh cherry tomatoes cut in halves, and some aromatic Italian oregano (also provided in the kit).

You might want to add some mushrooms, roasted garlic, fresh herbs, olives or toasted nuts, sun-dried tomatoes or even a squeeze of lemon to finish it of after baking.

Step 4 – Baking

Just before placing the pizza in the oven, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.

Depending on your oven, bake the pizza until the crust is a nice golden brown color with some darker spots – use our detailed instructions on how to bake pizza in various ovens.

Your pizza is baked and ready to be enjoyed!
